The frustration of an appliance not working as it should or failing prematurely can be aggravating.  Even more so when it is a refrigerator which quits on you right after the warranty expires. You have to scramble to save the contents and contemplate how to get it back up a running. (Note - the picture is a dramatic recreation)

One of our Southlake Owners had an undercounter refrigerator that failed on them only a year or so after the warranty expired.  This unit should have lasted 10+ years. After repeated calls to the manufacturer, it seemed the only remedy was to purchase another unit.  What else can an Owner do?

Well, although Garabedian Properties did not sell our Owner this appliance, this family did have a membership with Garabedian Estate Management Services (GEMS).  Once our Madison learned of the issues, she went to work and was able to "convince" the manufacture to replace the broken unit with a new unit.

But wait there's more.  After a few months, the replacement unit failed with the exact same problem. Ugg....

Madison did her thing and the manufacturer sent our Owner another brand new unit.  That is two brand new refrigerator replacements for an out of warranty unit in 3 months.  This saved our Owner thousands of dollars!

Third time was the charm and all is well with the most recent replacement.  Now that our Owner has appliance care as part of their GEMS membership we are able to monitor all their appliances and work to prolong their lives as well as get prompt service if the need arrises.
